MNES’ Quality Assurance Program complies with 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, “Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants,” ASME NQA-1-1994, “Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications,” and 10CFR21. Our US-APWR Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD) is modeled after and defined by the NRC-approved regulatory document that describes the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) elements; NEI 06-14A. Our QAPD is the top-level policy document that establishes the quality assurance policy and assigns major functional responsibilities for Combined Operating License (COL) activities and services activities conducted by or for MNES on behalf of its clients.
The QAPD describes the methods and establishes administrative control requirements consistent with 10 CFR 50, Appendix B and ASME NQA-1-1994. The Procedures and instructions that control activities are developed and issued prior to commencement of those activities.
The MNES QAPD applies to COL, construction, preoperational and post-operational activities affecting the quality and performance of safety-related structures, systems, and components.
MNES has a robust Internal Quality Auditing and Surveillance Program. We also perform routine Audits, Surveillances, and Evaluations of our suppliers and sub-supplier of Safety Related Services and Equipment. Our QA Team is comprised of experienced Nuclear Power Industry, Utility, and Vendor Quality Assurance professionals with an average experience level of over 25 years in the Nuclear QA Industry.
MNES takes pride in its Quality Program which ensures compliance with US regulations and makes it possible to build a plant or provide services to the existing operating fleet.
