OUR SERVICES

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has over 35 years of experience building and maintaining nuclear power plants in Japan; servicing plants worldwide; and developing more efficient and reliable technologies through research. This track record of steady evolution in our knowledge of nuclear power generation has led to development of the U.S. Advanced Pressurized Water Reactor (US-APWR) for the global energy market

We are a fully-integrated nuclear power company, providing all facets of plant design, site selection, construction, fueling, operation and maintenance:

Design

We use a seamless design information control system for all of our activities, from the initial planning/basic design (including license approval and safety evaluation) to manufacturing and inspection. The universal scope of the control database and the advanced computer technologies at its core assure reliability and high quality in all designs.

Manufacturing

We continuously refine our factory automation technology using 3D-CAD data, applying the latest techniques such as laser beam welding and high-performance large-scale machining. High-quality nuclear products can be manufactured within short periods with the help of our technologies and strict quality-control systems.

Quality Assurance

This is the heart of our manufacturing system, using the latest examination techniques in combination with traditional craftsmanship. The result is an unrivalled reputation for producing the very best. Mitsubishi’s technologies and quality assurance promise customers satisfaction at a level they never expected.

Construction

Our extensive scheduling and quality controls assure that we construct the best possible plant in the minimum delivery time. Our advanced construction methods and our high-level control systems serve the customer from the early stages of planning and design right through to test operation.
